I skimmed through this article the other day, published on El País website on June 8, 2017.
22 year old Lorena Ramírez Hernández, a resilient and thriving force of nature has a long way to go!
I hope she finds many opportunities for she has a bright future lying ahead!
Lorena is NOT only a marathon runner, she is an ULTRA MARATHON runner!!!
BUT, what makes her even more striking, is that she doesn't need a pair of costly running shoes,
or anything of that sort! She wears sandals!
Another plus, is that she will be the first Rarámuri woman to run in Europe!
Rarámuri natives are also known as Tarahumaras, they are Native American people located in Northwestern México.
Many Rarámuris stand out because of their long-distance running skills.
